McLated Belated
In yesterdays post I failed to mention a special day for one of our own. McHoff was celebrating his big 22nd yesterday. I wish him a happy belated McBirthday and hope our followers do the same!
It's great to keep up with you guys on your quest. I check in daily to remind myself that I am only somewhat insane by all the McDonald's lately. Today I treated my office coworkers each with their own medium waters after one of my runs. Thanks for the heads on the medium water trick. I also ran into the "full price water" problem the other day. Was pretty mad at the clerk, but decided to not push it and just get one medium coke.
Something I realized the other day that I really didn't know before. Your "win" in the online game has absolutely nothing to do with what chance card you pick. it's just for bells and whistles. I learned this because I entered my code and then my computer could not connect. I re-entered the code and was greeted by the "this code has already been used" dialog box. Miffed, I went to my account history and there it showed the "win" of the coke rewards, when I had actually never even picked a chance card.
Needless to say, I am much less "stressed" now when I am confronted with the choice of which card to pick. It doesn't even matter. It never did.
Oh, and I learned that the 150 MCR points is a cap for 150 MCR points from McDonald's monopoly each day. If you try to do more that 150 each day, it yells at you and won't let you.
You guys are studs for getting 20 medium waters in one trip. That, is amazing.
So far, I've collected 320 pieces through AMOE, and about 25-30 through actually in-store purchases. I was in CO this weekend for a wedding, so I made sure to get some CO pieces. Nothing big there.
I live in Las Vegas and most of the Mcdonalds here have the soda fountan behind the counter. We have ours out in the dinning area. So I cant pay 24 cents for a cup.
McJunior, great to keep hearing from you. Also, it turns out there is a 750 MCR cap. So our quest to win the mini-fridge was thwarted. But we're still going to get a bunch of gift cards on different accounts.
As for McLeno, that's unfortunate. Any other Mickey D's you could try?
